Temporary Learning Assistant – intervention  (to 31/8/25)

15 hours per week (working mornings, term time + 1 week

 


The Governors of St Peter’s C.E. Primary School are seeking to appoint a skilled, caring, thoughtful and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to deliver interventions from EYFS to Year 6.

 

You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting pupil independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

 

This work will be predominantly outside the classroom within a room of your own, targeting specific groups and individuals, closing gaps and assessing progress. Candidates should be skilled in phonics and be able to provide intervention in reading, writing and maths up to year 6.

Candidates must be committed to continuing professional development. Candidates must be able to work as part of a skilled, well - informed and positive team of staff and be able to think creatively to meet pupils’ needs.
