Assistant LAC Co-ordinator
Required to commence ASAP in September 2024
In July 2022, Ofsted Inspectors returned and confirmed that St Cuthbert’s continues to be a good school. “Pupils told inspectors that the best thing about the school is the education that they receive. They value the purposeful learning environment. Pupils focus on their work in class and co-operate well with one another. Leaders and staff have high expectations for pupils’ behaviour and academic success. Pupils have pride in their work”.
Details:
We require an enthusiastic and committed person to support the LAC co-ordinator in addressing the needs of LAC students who require particular support to overcome behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning in order for them to engage fully with learning. In addition, the person will be a support in carrying out some of the statutory provision of reviews for LAC students.
The successful candidate will be required to:

- Support and lead on some comprehensive assessments of LAC students to determine those in need of particular support and to target personalised interventions.
- Establish productive working relationships with LAC students.
- Arrange and develop 1:1 and small group mentoring arrangements and provide support for LAC students.
- Deal with correspondence, compilation/analysis/reporting on behaviour, exclusions and making phone calls etc. for LAC students as needed.
- Assist in the collation of information from teaching staff regarding LAC students both before and after the LAC review.
- Support the completion of Personal Education Plans.
- Be aware of and comply with school policies relating to child protection, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection.
