About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead Sefton’s Waste Management & Street Cleansing Service. This is a demanding role within a high profile, frontline service. In addition to leading daily operations, there is a requirement to deliver service innovation and adherence to government deadlines to meet the implementation of food waste collections.
The role will work closely with the Assistant Director of Operational In-House Services and be instrumental in shaping and delivering the services.
The successful candidate will;
- Have significant experience of leading and managing teams at service level;
- Have knowledge, experience and understanding of local government particularly those related to the service areas;
- Work collaboratively with other teams, internal and external stakeholders;
- Have the ability to co-ordinate all aspects of frontline services within a performance management framework;
In return we can offer a salary up to £63,057 per annum via incremental progression, up to 33 days annual leave subject to length of service, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, training and development opportunities and a supportive workplace culture that allows you to develop and grow.
