Deputy Headteacher

Group 4 Deputy Headteacher Leadership 12 (minimum based on experience) to maximum of 19 to accomodate pay progressions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspirational leader to join a 'good' school; Ofsted Inspection December 2023 see website for report (www.newfieldschool.co.uk)  Position to start in the Summer term 2025.

Newfield Primary School is based in Everton Road, Birkdale PR8 4BT and supports 28 primary pupils (this is to capacity).  Newfield Primary is part of Newfield School, Edge Lane, L23 4TG.  All pupils have an initial diagnosis of SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) with their individual EHCP.  The two schools run alongside each other, with the Headteacher for both sites based at Edge Lane.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in a leadership position
  • An understanding of the wide range of special educational needs found across all Key Stages
  • High expectations and experience of delivering school improvement and a clear vision for achieving excellence at Newfield School
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The passion to ensure that every child succeeds and reaches their full potential
