Social Worker - Community Mental Health Team
A suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker is required to join Sefton’s Adult Community Mental Health Team within South Sefton. Applications are welcome from all qualified social workers but preference will be given to those who are eligible to practice as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
Sefton’s Community Mental Health Teams, are integrated, working with many other disciplines, in order to provide a seamless, and holistic service. The teams provide a comprehensive and dynamic service to adults between the ages of 16 and 65 who require support from secondary mental health services.
Social workers located within the team provide a service in line with the principles of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and Mental Health Act (1983), alongside many other legal frameworks. The role covers the wide range of social work activities, including safeguarding. Eligibility to practice as an AMHP or willingness to train is an essential part of the role.
