The Governors at St Philip’s Primary School are delighted to offer the role of School Business Manager starting as soon as possible. The position is 20 hours per week, term time only plus 2 Inset days.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated professional with a passion for supporting education through effective business management. This is a great opportunity offering flexible, family-friendly working hours.
The successful candidate will hold responsibility for strategic management across a range of areas including finance, personnel, premises, health and safety, administrative systems and safer recruitment. They will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure that our school is a model of exceptional practise in all areas.
The successful candidate must:
- Be supportive of the inclusive Christian ethos of the school;
- Be wonderful with adults and children alike.
- Be quick thinking and able to solve problems.
- Be empathetic and have a clear understanding of the demands on today's families.
- Have a proven track record in financial management, including budget formulation, monitoring, forecasting and strategic long-term budgeting and resource management (accounting qualifications desirable);
- Have sound knowledge of financial and administrative systems including SIMS and FMS
- Have sound knowledge and experience of personnel management;
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to present both written and verbal information for the Headteacher and Governing Board
- Have experience of supporting site maintenance;
- Hold excellent organisational and ICT skills
- Have a willingness to contribute positively to our team and become involved in the wider aspects of school life.
