Development and Investment Manager

Knowsley Council is an award winning Local Authority, named Local Authority of the Year in the Municipal Journal Awards 2024. Come join us and be part of our success.

Join Us – Help Drive Knowsley’s Growth and Regeneration

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual to support the delivery of Knowsley’s ambitious Major Development Programme.

As part of the Council’s Major Development team, you’ll report directly to the Head of Major Development and work closely with colleagues in Business Growth and Town Centre Management. Together, you’ll strengthen our Invest Knowsley ‘Single Front Door’ approach—making it easier for developers, businesses and investors to access the support they need.

This is a varied and exciting role where you will:

  • Oversee major development projects and regeneration programmes across the Borough
  • Promote economic development opportunities and secure investment
  • Manage important Council assets such as Knowsley Business Park and town centre properties
  • Contribute to the delivery of Knowsley’s inclusive growth strategy, ensuring long-term benefits for residents and businesses

You’ll also play a key role in shaping and delivering our new Economic Plan—ensuring Knowsley continues to grow as a place where people want to live, work, invest and visit.

We promote applications from all sections of the community, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and candidates with disabilities as we acknowledge their underrepresentation in our workforce.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the specified date should we receive sufficient applicants.

At Knowsley we value our applicants and want them to feel well-informed and welcomed. If you have any questions about this specific job role or what it is like to work at Knowsley, please contact:
