ICT Operational Analyst - Career Graded
We are St Helens Borough Council
Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a modernising Council which is passionate and ambitious for the children and families we support, our communities and our workforce. As part of our transformation journey, we continue to build on our progress and put children firmly at the centre of our care. We can only do this because of our highly valued, skilled, and supported workforce.
A vacancy has become available for a highly motivated individual who want to play a key part in the delivery of ICT services and support to our customers.
Working in a hybrid capacity, you will be part of the Platform and Live Systems team within IT Operations and will have:
- Experience of the Microsoft 365 environment and its administration
- Experience in scripting, in particular Windows PowerShell, would be an advantage
- An understanding of proxy servers
- Experience working within a demanding customer-focused IT service
- Good written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- Ability to work on your own at times and use your initiative and multitask
- Knowledge and understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) environments would be an advantage
It is important that you can cope with a demanding workload, work to tight deadlines, and be able to support other team members with the overall responsibilities of the service in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You must be flexible in your approach to work to meet the needs of the service and have a desire to develop and learn further skills.
The successful candidate must have experience working in an IT operational environment. As the post is career graded, varying levels of experience will be considered, and appropriate training provided to bring them up to the higher levels.
