Following the internal promotion of our current postholder, the Governing Body of St Annes Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Learning Assistant Level 3 (SLCN) Speech, Language, Communication Needs and Intervention Support, to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.
The post is to have key responsibility for delivering assessments and interventions across the school in Speech, Language and Communication. Experience of working with speech, language and communication interventions would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. School currently makes use of Chatty Words, ELKLAN Language Builders and Speech and Language Link software. The post will also involve liaising closely with the EAL and Speech and Language Therapy services to effectively meet the needs of our children. You will work closely with the school SENDCO, Pastoral Manager and Wellbeing team and of course our parents. If you have experience of working with young children and are enthusiastic about making a positive difference to their early communication and reading skills, we look forward to hearing from you.
