Supported Accommodation Gateway Officer - 1 x permanent post & 1 x fixed term 2

St Helens Borough Council are looking to appoint two Gateway Officers (one permanent position and one 2-year fixed-term contract) to ensure that their supported accommodation is used by the people who need it most. The function of the role will be to assess individuals, to match them to the most suitable provision, using the Mainstay system and to liaise with the provider to ensure a smooth referral process.

As a Gateway Officer you will communicate with various stakeholders including health, Probation and social care, to complete a robust assessment and to match people to the best accommodation for them. Full training and support will be provided.

  • A professional, welcoming and positive attitude
  • The ability to positively engage with a range of organisations and individuals
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail skills
  • Good IT skills and experience of using Office application including Word, Excel and Outlook

This is a hybrid role which will require face-to-face interactions with service users and colleagues.
