Personal Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced individual to join the Executive Support Management Team as a Personal Assistant. The Executive Support Team assists the Councils wider leadership team comprising of Executive, Directors and Assistant Directors.

In this pivotal role, you will deliver a confidential, high-quality, and professional support service, embracing innovative and modern practices with a strong digital focus. You will play a key role in supporting strategic meetings, including minute-taking and tracking outstanding actions. Additional responsibilities include managing sensitive information, overseeing email and diary coordination, and ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.

We are seeking a self-motivated professional with exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a dynamic and demanding workload. You will need to demonstrate the ability to build strong working relationships with Councillors, senior council colleagues, and external partners.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and have outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

You will complement the work of the Executive Support Management Team, which supports the Wider Leadership Team through a tiered model of dedicated and shared resources. This role contributes to the broader work of the Directorate by exercising initiative and helping to alleviate pressure points across teams.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) offered on a hybrid working basis, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and from an office base.
