Assistant Team Manager - Children We Look After

The CWLA teams are responsible for the care planning, safety and successful outcomes for children who are in our care long term.
The CWLA Service benefits from an experienced, stable and committed management team, a supportive network of colleagues and an infrastructure than enables successful social work. We are committed to working as a close knit and integrated team to deliver the best outcomes for our children.

Making a Difference as Assistant Team Manager in Children’s Services
This is a pivotal role in our teams, supporting the management of, and leading a team of qualified social care staff and support workers, who undertake children’s social care safeguarding assessments, support, and intervention services to vulnerable children.
To apply for this post, we will need you to have;
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and associated guidance with reference to the Council’s duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge and understanding of complex child protection issues.
Knowledge and understanding of child development and the impact of abuse and deprivation on development and an understanding of the concept of working in partnership with families.
We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 3 years post- qualification experience in a social work setting including child protection work.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to utilise existing skills and develop new ones.
