Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

A vacancy has arisen at Northway Community Primary School for a maternity cover in a Y5 class. The position is from 1st September 2026 fixed term until the return of the post holder.

 

The Governors of Northway Primary School would like to appoint an experienced,  enthusiastic and caring teacher who is:

  • Committed to ensuring children achieve their full potential in acquiring the essential skills needed in Reading, Writing and Maths

  • Knowledgeable about the KS2 curriculum and the expectations in Upper Juniors
  • Experienced in teaching in Upper KS2

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 15th June. Only successful candidates will be informed. Observations will take place at Northway on Friday 19th June. After this, candidates will be informed if they are being invited to attend an interview on Monday 22nd June.

 

Due to the nature of work the post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
