Making A Difference as a Senior/Social Worker on the Working Age Social Work Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Working Age Team, Social Work Team for a period of six months. The team works with adults who need social care intervention between the ages of 18 - 67. The team undertakes a wide range of work with people with a Physical And Sensory Disability, Learning Disability and Severe and Enduring Mental Health Issues.

The Working Age Team is part of a well-run People’s Service, ensuring that key employer standards and support are available around training, appraisal, caseload management and supervision, both formal and informal.

You will carry an interesting and diverse caseload and participate or support on the AMHP Rota to complete the required assessments that have been received within the core working office hours.

We welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers and will provide you with a structured programme of training, mentoring and support. In addition, during your assessed and supported year of employment (ASYE) we offer a reduced and protected caseload and additional reflective supervision.

The Team follows an Agile Hybrid Model of Working with the facility to book a Desk and Care Parking Space within the Hub when required.

All IT Equipment is provided to facilitate working in this way.

Our current benefits package for this role includes:

·An additional £4,000 payment paid to those who are AMHP qualified, this is reviewed 31/05/2025**. Or a £1500 recruitment and retention allowance, to be reviewed 31/05/2025*.

·Out of hours enhanced payment available, should there be a requirement to work outside core office hours to complete an assessment.

·Free parking when using a booked desk at the Agile Hub

·Additional holiday purchase scheme

·Flexible working schemes with the possibility to accrue an additional flexi day’s leave per month.

You will need to be a qualified social worker and be registered with the Social Work England, and willing to undertake the necessary training in order to perform the statutory duties of an AMHP if not already qualified as an AMHP.
