Practice Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Mental Health Team in Halton. The team is a busy social work team responsible for supporting adults who live within the borough who have complex and enduring mental health needs.
As the Practice Manager, you have the relevant experience in leading high performing teams, as well as experience in coaching and developing teams to achieve meaningful outcomes for the people we support. The Practice Manager would also have experience and working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Mental Health Act 1983, as well as other relevant legislative knowledge. Its is desirable that the Practice manager is also an Approved Mental Health Professional, or has relevant experience working with The Mental Health Act 1983.
The Practice Manager will have experience of working collaboratively with a range of different services and teams including health, Children’s Services, the Voluntary and Private Sector as well as commissioned service and in house services/teams to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support. As the Practice Manager, you will support the Principal Manager in ensuring that the council’s aims and objectives operationally are implemented, covering when required. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible approach and a willingness to continually improve your practice; in addition, you must hold a full driving licence.
Your role will include the supervision of qualified Social Workers and Community Care Workers. You will be part of a strong and supportive management Team with access to well-constructed risk management processes and legal advice pathways.
