Residential Child Care Worker - Part Time:

Position available: Part time, 1x 18 hour position

We are looking for child focused individuals who have experience of working with children and young people with disabilities, challenging behaviours and complex healthcare needs at Inglefield,

Inglefield is a small residential home based in Runcorn that provides short breaks and residential support to children and young people between the ages of 4-18 within a family centred environment.

We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service in a fun, charismatic and relaxed environment that allows the children and young people to achieve their potential.

This is a role where your skills, hobbies, and interests will bring additional inspiration!

Duties include:

  • Providing a key worker role, in accordance with the child/young person’s care plan.
  • Involvements in informal group work with the children, young people and their families
  • Planning, preparation, delivery and participation in activities for children/young people to include education and leisure interests.
  • Providing reports, recording events and contributing to the maintenance of case files.
  • Involvement in domestic chores – including washing, preparation of meals, shopping and cleaning.
  • Personal Care

Your hours are on a rota basis, this involves some early mornings, evenings and weekend working and there is a requirement to do sleep-in duties for which an additional enhancement is paid.

In return you will receive:

  • Competitive Salary – £12,853.46 - £13,996.22 pro rata (18hrs)

Please note: on occasion in residential care there is a need to only accept applicants from a particular protected characteristic. The reason being that we are legally required to ensure that anyone appointed is at least 3 years older than our oldest resident.
