Therapy and Technology Practitioner

The Aids and Adaptations OT Team completes assessments to assess people's functional level and identify areas where equipment and/or adaptations will increase someone's independence or safety.

You will complete both complex and non-complex independent living needs-based assessments for the provision of equipment/adaptations and assistive technology. Work alongside Assistant Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Social Care Professionals and the wider multi-disciplinary teams to meet the needs of the local population; provide aids/equipment/adaptations/assistive technology to meet identified needs within the assessment process adhering to defined protocols to support service users to live independently in the community.

You will need an understanding and knowledge of Occupational Therapy and the role of Occupational Therapy within the aids and adaptations setting.

You must have previous experience of working in a community health care setting completing assessments and working with service users
