We are looking to recruit experienced Social Workers to support us on our improvement journey.

The DAT team are the team who work directly with children and families and partner agencies to ensure the needs of children and young people are responded to timely. DAT identifies and assesses levels of risk and need, and delivers protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need of support and or looked after. If the child / young person requires longer term support they are allocated to a social worker in our Child in Need team. 

When you become a permanent Social Work employee at Halton Borough Council we'll welcome you with a payment of up to £4000* to recognise your contribution to our Children’s Services.

We’re offering £2000 (pro-rata for part-time) to new appointments made to permanent qualified social work roles. There is an additional payment of £2000 (pro-rata for part-time) paid to new appointments in qualified social worker posts in the Duty and Assessment Team.
