Early Help Officer

Halton Family Hubs are ambitious for all children to have the best start in life, by equipping parents to best support their children in achieving their full potential.   Our Family Hubs offer well planned and organised, universal, and targeted support for children/families through groups, one to one work, home learning and support in the community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Brookvale Family Hub team as an Early Help Officer, working specifically with families with children under 5 yrs, on a permanent basis of 18.5 hours per week, working Monday to Wednesday.

You will be a highly motivated and experienced early help/family work practitioner. You will be approachable with the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and families.  You will be a good communicator.  You will be skilled in identifying and planning early help support that will improve daily lived experiences for children/families.  You must be able to contribute well to a team, demonstrating a high regard for diversity, sensitivity and confidentiality.

The role involves being a Lead Professional for Multi Agency Assessment/Plans (MAPs), this includes coordinating services, implementing, and reviewing action plans. You will complete direct work with families and be able to evaluate and demonstrate the impact of work undertaken.  You will be knowledgeable on such areas of positive parenting, behaviour management and family relationships.

You should understand Halton’s Continuum of Need and be able to demonstrate the capacity to work across all levels either through direct work at the lower level or contributing to higher level partnership planning.

Please note; given the flexibility required to work with families directly in their communities, it is essential the postholder can drive and has access to a vehicle.

Interviews will be held W/C 26th August 2024
