Halton Borough Council are looking to recruit a Commissioning Manager
If you are an experienced commissioner of health or public health services looking for a role where you can have a big impact then we’d love to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Halton Borough Councils Public Health Team as a Commissioning manager. This is an interesting and diverse role, leading the commissioning and management of local public health services. You will join an established public health team, with a wide range of expertise and support. No two days will be the same as you monitor and develop services, working collaboratively with partners and most importantly seeking feedback from the community of Halton to shape services that meet local need. It’s an exciting time to work for Halton Borough Council as we develop our local integrated offer through programs such as the family hubs and this role is central in providing system leadership and integrating local services.
The post is full time on a permanent basis and is based in Runcorn town hall, with some home working (depending on service demands). We will consider part time/flexible working applications.
If you’re looking for an exciting role, working with a small, friendly public health team then look no further. We are seeking someone who is excited to deliver evidence based, value for money, quality services for the population of Halton. To enjoy this role you will need to be someone who has a passion for reducing health inequalities, excited by public health and motivated to get the best from services for their community. You will be keen to use evidence to inform practice, be an experienced commissioner, having performance managed health or public health contracts and have a drive for continuous improvement. If you feel you have the right skills and experience to thrive in this role then we would love to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Julia Rosser, Deputy Director of Public health on 0151 511 6772
Interviews will be held on date tbc.
